SUMMER'S NOURISH YOUR BODY SMOOTHIE BOWL
Earlier this month, Summer Sanders of Local Juicery shared her sweet and delicious Apple Pie Tart with us. This week she shares her tasty and nutrient dense smoothie bowl. It's loaded with vitamin e, healthy fats, and hormone balancing super foods. This bowl is not only beautiful but tastes incredible!
S | This bowl (I make many versions of it) is my go to breakfast bowl for energy and nutrients. It's easy to make, totally nourishing and really pretty to look at. I love pretty food! Our bodies actually start the digestion process with our eyes and thoughts about the food. We start to salivate and prepare for devouring! This is amazing and really fun to keep in mind when preparing food for yourself. Make it beautiful! It helps your digestion.
This bowl is packed with super-power foods for energy. I'm nursing my son still and on my feet all day long at Local so I need food that will keep me full without weighing me down. This recipe makes one large smoothie bowl. I top with all my favorite superfoods. Feel free to play!
INGREDIENTS //
2 cups frozen organic strawberries
6 to 8 oz almond milk
1 tablespoon hemp seeds
1 tablespoon Sun Potion Pine Pollen (hormone balancer)
1 tablespoon Sun Potion Tocos (vitamin e)
1 tablespoon sprouted almond butter
1 tablespoon coconut butter
1 1/2 packets organic stevia (or 1 tablespoon raw honey)
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Toppings of chocie!
METHOD //
Add the strawberries, almond milk and all other ingredients to your high-speed blender (I use a Vitamix). Blend until smooth and frozen yogurt consistency. Pour into your favorite bowl and beautify with your favorite superfoods!
