These are the books that have had a powerful and transformative influence on me over the years. They have dramatically shifted my mindset about health, spirituality, and relationships. Integrating these teachings into my life has transformed my relationship to not only myself but the world around me. 1) Food & healing - Anne Marie Colbin

This book is the perfect foundation to any healthy diet. With a focus on Macrobiotics, the expansive contractive model, and acid/alkaline balancing, it’s a must read for anyone looking for a thorough approach to holistic health and healing. 

2) Nourishing Wisdom - Marc David

I recommend this book to almost all of my clients! Marc offers a transformative perspective on well-being and our deeply emotional relationship to food. Focusing on the mind-body connection and the psychology of eating, this book will open your eyes to a new way of relating to wellness. 

3) Prayers to the Great Creator - Julia Cameron

Given to me years ago by one of my longest friends and written by one of the most creative women out there, this book is a perfect addition to any bedside table. It contains heartfelt prayers and creative reflections to begin or end any day. It also makes for a beautiful gift!

4) The War of Art - Steven Pressfield

This book was the first that inspired me to take creative action in my life. It’s the perfect guide to help you work through your creative struggles. Inspiring and no-nonsense, this book is a motivational kick in the butt! 

5) Healing with Whole Foods - Paul Pitchford

A nutrition & healing bible with an Eastern meets Western approach. This book focuses on whole body health and healing, the principles of Yin & Yang, the 5 elements, herbalism, and also contains a few fantastic traditional Asian recipes. 

6) Conscious Loving - Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks

A MUST read for anyone wanting to take his/her relationships to the next level. The teachings in this book open up pathways of communication in any relationship, starting with the relationship to yourself. 

7) Creative Visualization - Shakti Gawain

My bible! This book has been such a positive influence in my life. Manifest what you want in your life through visualization techniques, affirmations, and vision boards. 

8) The 5 Love Languages - Gary Chapman

A fantastic book for understanding how we all relate to love differently-- in our expressions of love and what makes us feel truly loved. 

9) What to Remember When Waking - David Whyte

All of David Whyte’s books are at the top of my list. His work is deeply comforting and speaks to the existential feelings we all experience. It’s soulful, philosophical, and deeply human.  His work truly nourishes my heart and soul.
